      Goldilocks EV

      by Ryan W on 9/19/2026 10:08:07 PM

This is the perfect first time EV. It drives like a wagon, not a rocket ship. It has the NACS charing port and improved range from previous model years. And it is confident and planted on the road! Even though it is a rebadged Toyota, and looks like a Lexus from the side, it really does feel like a Subaru inside. The past few years, cars and, well, everything have been getting so expensive. An AWD wagon with a 100K battery warranty, with this level of fit and finish for $39K seems like a steal. It sounds like the depreciation is a little worse than what we drove before...but after years of making fun of the electrics, this seemed like a model that gave us a seriously comfortable entry point. It still has "real" locks and switches, but it has the "futuristic" powertrain. Perfect if you want an understated, uncontroversial EV.…

by Paul on 7/8/2026 12:32:26 PM

My third electric car after a Tesla and Kia EV6 The car has a nice style and is comfortable The range disappoints me especially in the colder weather I still don't understand why the range can not be increased The charging time is also a bit long Overall, I like the car but I think for the money of the Kia EVA 6 was still available I would choose it over the Solterra…
